Checking validity of a Windows License

I have recently acquired a few copies of Windows of Win XP pro, about 20 and I'm wondering if the licenses have been used.

Is there somewhere I can check to validate it without activating/registering it?

I won't use Windows, so I can sell them, If in fact they are still valid. They came in the little plastic baggies with the license on the side and the cds etc

Can somebody please assist?

Okay, let me clarify. I got them from a company, who bought too much.

Depends on the Licensing deal... if it is under volume license you wont be able to use them, if it was OEM it is connected to a specific machine...

Definitely not OEM, so does that only leave me with VL or are there other options?
