Yes their cheese is amazing. Pricey but otherwise delicious.

Now look at the price of a 21 day matured rump in UK vs here.

I don’t know much about the cost of food in UK but when I’m in France, i spend easily 3 times more.

But then I don’t shop at the equivalent of Tesco.

The UK comes in around R50 a kg more for meat, not as bad as it used to be. Even when my brother came here in 2015 he noticed that our prices were not as good as they used to be.

I’m saying matured proper meat. Not cheap supermarket basic stuff that only my dogs will eat.

In France, that’s from 24€/kg (R370) for rump/sirloin to 45€/kg (R695) for fillet. https://www.monoprix.fr/boeuf-0000254

That’s more than double what I pay here. Not even going to speak of the price of fresh fish.

Toxoplasma takes a while to cultivate, and time means rent.

I'm just happy I'm not as full of *** as you. Probably a consequence of growing up relatively poor.

Not bad but I've always found their beef to be hit and miss quality wise.
