We'll just have to disagree on that. Nothing is a given in rugby, it's like the saying goes - rugby is played on a field and not on paper.
You have to be at your best all the time and whatever happened the previous week has no bearing on what may happen this week.
I agree with you, that why i said it is a fairly sure bet, and not a sure bet.
I still stand by my position that the sharks would have won the cheetah's game easily if they just concentrated a little more in the first 20 minutes. They didnt, and so they were beaten by a team which played like champs, but only after the sharks failed to assert themselve on the scoreboard when they should have. Two small instances which would have probably changed everything.
Vulindlu didn't stay on the outside and came in which left adi throwing to nowhere.
Keegan passed the wrong way after he broke through the line and ran 50m.
There were other instances which i can't recall, but they were equally important.
As the sharks kept missing chances the team started to push things and strayed from putting together attacking phases. Eventually the expected cheetah's try broke through and slowly but surely the sharks played worse as the shock of their position and the frustration of not being able to finish played havock with their confidence. As the cheetah's got ahead, they realised their time had come and if they went for it they could pull it off.
But in saying all that the cheetah's won the game as deserved winners.
