Chiefs vs. ManU Game

hmmm funny they land draw 1-1, then should have beaten pirates by 2 or 3 and then waste chiefs 4-0 :)

More interested to see what you have to say now. You recall this coming out of your mouth when you were lining up excuses for the draw?

lance do you think manchester is going to come out here and humiliate the teams?

get real, im pretty sure united would have been happy to lose or draw

Or have you changed your mind about that now?

yea but lance there is a difference between coming out wasting both teams 4-0 in 3 matches

Its a final of a tournament

It is a final between two teams, i know United could have destroyed both these teams if they tried hard enough in the first 2 games

They did not try

This game you could see they tried and played the kind of footie we know they can

I dont think 4-0 is exactly a bad scoreline considering there is a universe between the two teams in terms of quality, no doubt they got wasted but could have 8 :)

Of course they where tired, just like if you get off a plane after many hours traveling and have to play 24 hours later :)

It's not the same thing. Anyone who's ever played football in his life will tell you that. The pirates game was bloody intense, and fast. The tournament formatt is simply skewed in favour of these european teams. It needs to change.

Perhaps. But you cannot argue that one team was tired when both had good reason to be tired.

Manu had no reason to be tired. They had a week's rest. Chiefs didn't even have 48 hours. You can't compare the two scenarios.

Edit: I kinda felt sorry for the poor okes. They couldn't even run, they were clearly exhausted.

I was comparing it to when united landed 24 hours before the chief game, the first game they played.

Maybe not the same thing but flying for many hours is very tiring, your not exactly 100% going into the game.

i played football but having never flown from South Africa to England i cannot say for sure how you would be after a long flight and then a big game 24 hours later
