China - Taiwan Developments

Why is it every conversation with you lot ends in "USA bad!"?

I am not from the US, i don't have to answer for their mistakes when I call out Russia and China for their sh*tty behavior.
Because it's relevant. Why did the US cause unrest in Central America? Why did they go to Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq? Is it because they care about the conditions and liberties of citizens of those countries?

No. It was always either to overthrow US unfriendly government, for geopolitical or economic reasons.

The US does not care what damage they cause where.

That is why it is so misleading to defend the US actions against China (Taiwan), or Ukraine for that matter. The US only acts in it's best interest and the messaging coming from within the US only props this up.

Am inclined to agree..

Wait, what is your moral issue with the US providing arms to the Ukraine?

Forget everything horrible the US has done in the past, surely the US assisting Ukraine to defend themselves against an aggressor is an objectively good thing irrespective of their motivations?

Or do you think the world would be a better place if Russia had been allowed to invade Ukraine unchallenged?

I believe that if the US really wanted to, they would have pursued peaceful resolution to the Ukraine mess long before the invasion started. Like through following through on Minsk agreements and making sure both sides proceed accordingly.

They are partly responsible for this mess, I believe intentionally. They are the only side that benefits. Twice. Once through their arms trade and secondly through Russia being preoccupied with war.

They are in no position to point fingers at Russia.

Regarding Taiwan, all of a sudden there's their interest in promoting Taiwan independence. At a time where Taiwan is deciding between the US and Chinese alignment re chip manufacturing. Coincidence? Nope, yet again self interest with utter disregard for local unrest that may arise as a result.

How about nobody should provide arms.
Pick any other current conflict and apply pro The Ukraine logic.
It never works out.

So you are the sort of person who walks to the other side of the street when you witness someone being mugged?

Bad example.
A better example would be seeing two people fighting.
Do you just randomly start throwing weapons into the mix ?

Weird how US intelligence was telling everyone that Russia was going to invade for months and yahoos like you dismissed it as fear mongering. Strange that the US would make such an effort to tell the world about Russia's intentions if in fact they really wanted a war.

Are you insane? Russia being "being preoccupied with war" is a situation that is entirely caused by their own choices. If they didn't want to be in that situation all they had to do was not invade?

hey are in no position to point fingers at Russia.

Last I checked, the vast majority of Taiwanese citizens wanted to retain the status quo, are you against that?

So Russia invades Ukraine and you compare that to two people just starting to fight for no apparent reason, you're a nutter. :X3:

You compared it to a mugging.
I compared your comparison to a more aligned version of your fantasy.
Why arm anyone ?
What good does it do ?

If someone is getting mugged at knife point and I give them a gun to even the odds, is that a bad thing?

Why are you on the side of the person committing a crime?

Cos the victim is a dirty little hobbitses like the bad USA.

Before commenting, ensure you know what you are talking about.

I take it you have served in the US military and are capable of commenting?

Still going with the bad example ?
You give a gun, you escalated.
Actually any weapon would count as escalation in law.
Why are you loading the scenario ?
Try two guys fighting, you escalate on the side of one.
Where does this work morally, apart from ukiedom, name another current conflict.

When are you going to stop using a pentagon fact checker and start thinking for yourself?

I wish you would do your own fact checking:

It's not a pentagon fact checker.

Nope, if you threaten the life of someone to get what you want you don't get to moan when your victim pulls a bigger weapon.

Do you even believe in the concept of self defence?

Still flawed example.
In the context of the thread.
Why is supporting Taiwan right ?

Wierd how US intelligence was telling everyone about the invasion, yet they did nothing diplomatically.

Russia being preoccupied with war is to the US advantage. Comment has nothing to do with Russia.
Last I checked, the vast majority of Taiwanese citizens wanted to retain the status quo, are you against that?
I'm not, but looks like the US might be.
