Thanks but I only really have butter on baked potatoes and tbh I'd sooner go without than eat the fake stuff.Go for tests regularly.
Also, were you using BUTTER (instead of margarine)? If so, try Flora ProActiv Margarine. Clinically proven to lower cholesterol.
No, I am not getting paid to post this![]()
Thanks everyone. My level was fine (as was my blood pressure - even though the machine at the gym claimed otherwise) so its all good.
Yeah, the sister at clicks who did the test said something along those lines. Those machines are easily misled - they work acoustically, to hear when your pulse starts again, and any loud noises nearby can throw them off.
Go for tests regularly.

I can't believe you just recommended that evil plastic over butter.

I understand that the pharmacy tests are especially bad for cholesterol testing because it can be drastically altered based on what you have or have not eaten before the test. Anyone know about this? Labs tests require a 12 hour fast before the test.
I had mine tested at Clicks a few months back, and they told me to fast for 6+ hours before the test.
- should I be doing this regularly?
They'll have to prise slabs of real butter from my cold dead fingers.
A blood test is the only true test for cholesterol and Clicks can't do it.
No - so they can get to work on my butter encased coffin of course. What the hell for? so you can paint your food with
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spray ?

And then just pray that the cancer doesn't get you before the cholesterol does.Clinically proven to lower cholesterol.
Could you please explain this in more detail. Surely heartrate is measured acoustically not bloodpressure? Or am I missing something here? Those machines are easily misled - they work acoustically, to hear when your pulse starts again, and any loud noises nearby can throw them off.
