Guys, does anyone have some expert advice for me? I heard Vodacom generaly has the cheapest rates. I heard MTN makes their clients by offering cheaper upgrade packages, and now with Virgin on the platform as well, they offer some neat flexibility, but other than that I dont know if i should migrate or stay at Vodacom. Calling a consultant is just painful process...

I dont know if CellC/Virgin/MTN offers that TV service that Vodacom has. You pay like R60/month for four channels and use the TV out on the phone to watch dstv. Now thats a bitchin idea! :)

i had the tv thing, you never ever use it once u get bored with it!

lol, i get your point. Think I could benefit from it though, coz I cant afford DSTV, bying the dish etc

Its easy to see who has the cheapest call rates:

Check the links below (links for talk120/procall120/virgin equivalent):

Vodacom
http://www.vodacom.co.za/pkgcr.do?action=getpkgsgroups&pkgTypeId=1&pkgGroupId=1&packageId=1

MTN
http://www.mtn.co.za/?pid=5874

Virgin
http://www.virginmobile.co.za/virgin-portal-customer/PrepaidPostpaid.do?method=initPrepaidPostpaid

You can easily compare and decide for yourself.

Regarding the tv thing, i would look very carfefully into that, i dont think its a DSTV replacement for people who cant afford a dish!

Dude I bought a new dish and bracket last weekend its only like R270.00 maybe you meant the decoder ?

i think mtn sp (service provider) generally have some awesome deals. and i think mtn's contract packages are kinda value for money. but maybe i'm just judgemental cause i've been with mtn for so long

MTN all the way... Vodacom are not great, haven't been impressed with them and I use them for my broadband requirements. Almost always MTN is quicker with less downtime so from that perspective I would choose MTN.

I think their deals are good aswell, i just renewed mine now. Got a Sam E250 and Lenovo 3000 N200 on MyCall 100.

virgin mobile...the free sms forever things pretty cool ...cheapest rates and you get good pay you back for calling (especially after 2 years) - v rewards

Forget Virgin. MTN vs Voda comes down to personal preference. I vote Voda.

But u see now, why would you choose vodacom above mtn? and why are u leaving Virgin out of the equation? they have some interesting packages and rates going on. Ive always been with vodacom, so its easy to just go along and upgrade again. but i want to go the extra mile and figure out exactly why the hell im voting for them.

I would go with vodacom. At least they dont promise you things you cant get like MTN's 7.2mbps service :D

Not on contract. Vodacom pre-paid. :D But I was just stating the above as a fact.
