Isn't it better off going into your bond?

Mine only comes in January which is cool cos it forces you to save a bit during the year to pay yourself a December bonus. Its nice gtetting money in Jan when most people are working cos then its not wasted (not all of it)... :)
 
130% bonus, 7.5% of pretax amount going onto retirement fund

Refurbishing of kitchen in rental property, thus I can ask more rent. Lump sum into satrix investment, want to be financially independant at age 50. Electric fencing at back of yard and 15m of palisade fencing to one side.
 
Neither here. Time to start working/looking for another job. Love my job and boss, but I drive around a lot, and there is very little stability in my days. Hard to build good patterns. I want to propose sometime this year upcoming year, and it ain't happening with my salary and lack of 13th/bonus. I barely survive on my own, now how can I provide for my wife with things as it is?

Not sure what I am getting yet, but got a letter stating that I was getting a bounus, going to settle the credit card and overdraft and put the balance towards a new lens. My wife on the other had is getting a 13th and 14th both tax free!!!

I would like to know how does one get away with a tax-free bonus ?
 
I was just informed that I'm getting a 144% bonus over the course of the next couple of months. Super happy with that as I wasn't actually expecting anything and what little hope I had was more in the range of 25% or so, not 100+%.
 
I know in some retails shops, they take money from the till - or at least don't back as much in the prior weeks to pay the employees a bonus in cash.

I haven't got a bonus in 10 years.

Anyone needing a new employee at their company? :P

Normally a "tax free" bonus is one where you voluntarily pay extra tax every month so that when it's bonus time you get the full amount.

There is no such thing as a proper tax free bonus, Sars always get their cut.

What about people who's bonus is only decided at year end? I did a friends taxes who only pays correct amount PAYE as per his salary each month and he got a fat 13th cheque tax free.
