Chrome help please

Going nuts here. Everytime I open up Chrome, I get two tabs opening

1 with http://istart.webssearches.com/ and the 2nd with Google.co.za.

I have searched everywhere for the http://istart.webssearches.com/ link in Chrome settings, cant find it.

Is it hidden somewhere?

in setting under "on startup" make sure it's on open new tab.

It's malware. Simply removing it from your startup settings in Chrome won't help it, as it returns for as long as the malware is present.

It's a pain in the ass to remove these things, but it has to be done. Had a similar experience 3 weeks ago when I thought I was downloading a legitimate Youku video downloader..

No problem, I have to do this on my father in-laws PC monthly... you sohuld also run malwarebytes it'll clean all the unwanted things off your PC.

It pitched up on my work laptop. I cant install anything as it's locked down and I dont have admin rights. Dont know how it got past the firewall and McAfee,

Check your icon that you use to open Chrome. There is possible a command line argument that starts a web page as soon as you open Chrome. Right click Chrome, click on Properties and check that int he target it ends with "...chrome.exe" and that there is nothing after it

EDIT: See you got sorted, but I have had this a few times so it's worth remembering for next time

Also, just make sure there are no extensions installed under that name.
