Chrome tests new feature to reduce RAM usage

Google is testing a new feature that will reduce the amount of RAM used by its Chrome web browser, Softpedia News reports.

The popular operating system is notorious for its high RAM usage, which is why Google is testing a new tool that ensures unused tabs do not remain active in the background if a user is not using them.

Even on Ubuntu it's quite heavy, I've got 13 processes running and it's 800 megs.

Stop applying band aids. Stop with this ridiculous process for every tab. That's the issue.

use Onetab chrome add-on.
all your tabs. in one tab. only one tab worth of memory usage.
