They didn't put USB3 in the pixel ?
That's very stupid.

Or a harddrive. Or a robust OS
Still infinitely better than anything apple has or ever will produce.

They could just have put "No" in the operating system column of the Chromebook![]()
Ludicrous hyperbole aside, why? The MBP Retina 15 has a higher res display, faster cpu, faster GPU, bigger SSD, better build quality.....
and iOS... The only type of device I can ever see myself buying that runs iOS is something that I don't expect to have much flexibility with like a music player, or maybe even a phone. Even then I would still not look forward being forced to use itunes.
Also :
- Whether the MBP retina display is better than the pixel's, which has a higher ppi, is very much debatable.
- Who told you the MBP's build quality is better than the pixel's ? We don't know anything about it.
- They all have 1.8ghz i5 processors
So the only thing the MBP really has on the pixel is more storage and USB3.
Combining a collection of powerful enough hardware in a stylish package is much easier than designing a brilliant OS.
So do I understand correctly that the high-end LTE model of the Chromebook Pixel has a SIMCard slot built in?
Sold
I can't believe that Apple (and every other laptop manufacturer out there) expects people to carry around USB dongles in 2013. Since I got my iPad with its 3g SIM slot, my laptop has hardly left the house. No, actually it hasn't left the house at all.
How can both the Chromebook Pixel and Macbooks have such high resolutions but all the new top range Windows 8 laptops still only1680 by 1050.

If it came in 15" with that same resolution I would just install Windows. All my apps run on Windows so it isn't that I dislike ChromeOS.Just the way it is.
The Pixel has a 12.85" display and at that resolution it must be awesome. Would not mind one. Quality should be good as they are built be Lenovo. If possible I would upgrade the SSD and install linux on it, I'm not big on this cloud crap.
