Cisco Equipment Prices

Why would someone want to buy such expensive switches when you can get 3550 & 3560 at a reasonable price ?
3550 series has a twelve port gig switch -- either fixed or GBIC's and can run the enhanced image ( layer three )
Just have a look on BidorBuy for the bargains

OP -- non-one in SA has any money anymore -- you may have to adjust your expectations

Corporate or commercial guys want to buy original Cisco with support backup and guarantee

It really is a matter of preference i guess, if you want to work and have the higher end switches then you won't mind getting these

Also, the 24 Port has POE so that is an attraction for a lot of people studying towards VOIP or WLAN

This can also go to a small company that can run a rock solid network with it

I know that money is tight, for all of us that is

Thats why id consider offers or swops as thats a bit more reasonable

xD give away xD I have enough console cables :D I will sell them at half your price ?

R3000.00 for a working 12 port layer 3 fiber switch? xD wow

Yip lol, he got a big luck

the only reason i let it go for that that price was mainly coz of that metal piece thats bent slightly

GBIC's not going to be that cheap for that switch as well

R80k switch with R400 GBICS

Mmm, i personally wouldn't but anyway it's up to him now ;)

Made in the same factory buddy... ;) one has a Cisco logo and the other doesnt. If you can afford to pay R2000-R4000 per SFP you dont buy a second hand switch. xD
