Hi enlightened ones.

I am busy planning a big office/warehouse/manufacturing move, for Augusy and I have now reached the technical WIFI side.

All of our infrastructure is Cisco world wide, and I have to use 2702 AP's.

I have been toying with idea to use the 2702e units, and attach Poynting OMNI-296 and WLAN-61 antennae in the warehouse and in the offices (or a nice ceiling mounted MIMO).

The radiation pasterns are fine and I will be doing heat map testing when I get a unit and some antenna to play with.

The big question that I have now is if all 4 antenna connectors must be connected. I have found that all for are TX/RX (some other models have RX only on some ports, but this does not appear to be the case on the 2700 series).

I would prefer to only do 2 antenna, on 15 meter cables each side with 1 antenna close to the AP.

Has anyone done this?

How much does those antennae cost? Might be cheaper to just use more AP's.

The client might pick up the wifi signal fine with these antennae from further away or through a wall, but the client side might not be able to talk back all the way as the client wifi will not have a 7dbi antennae... giving you major issues....
