Cleaning a laptop LCD screen? How :)

PXC

Most of the advice given is good. Don't use alcohol-based or ammonia-based products. I would avoid paper towels or any other harsh materials that may etch the screen.

I use http://www.pixelclean.com to clean my screen, works great.

well i guess a pee smelling screen is better than a shightstained one from teraside :D

Goto Incredible connection. They sell special tissues in a container that i use on my LCD screen. Works like a charm. One wipe and voila.

think it costs R40 or somewhere around there.

I never wore the one I'm using, I don't know where it came from, it works nice though and I send through the washing machine after I'm done :p

hey guys, is it so wrong using pee? I mean, there's a reason why the toilet bowl remain so white :p

And if I remember correctly the Romans used jewish pee to brush there teeth :D

ROFL! An unknown pair of underwear? Dodge city here we come! :D

For those interested, while at MAKRO today i had a look at cleaner.

They had YODATA branded LCD cleaner 250ml for R79.00

Lol, sorry man. I'll check later. Pretty sure it just says LCD Cleaner or something to that effect, but it's great. Comes with everything, including a little brush to remove the dust from your screen first, especially in the corners of your screen.

We sell one that matches what you say but not so cheap (cost is near 100rands excl). Sounds like it is the Ellies one? Can someone post an image as am capped. It included a Spray, Anti Static Brush and a Triangular cleaning sponge thingy.

EDIT: I see above it was the Yodata one "sigh" however the ellies one works :). I see mercurial also gave away what i was trying to say.
