Is there somehow i could program my pc so that it would switch itself of after 3 hours or so.

Cause usually i have downloads running but they finish about 12 in the evening, till morning my pc stays on.

Was just wondering on something like that.

An y ideas?

I had something like that years ago.....Used to switch it on and switch it off again. I bet if you google hard enough you'll find something that would suite your needs. Sorry I cant think of the prog i used.

If you use torrents then I think utorrent has a function to switch off PC once downloads are finished. If not, more people will reply to your thread hopefully.

Thats true, uTorrent and most other torrent apps have that function.

you can just use the shutdown command for windows, just go start\run\shutdown -s -t (number of seconds till shutdown)

DAP also has a shutdown function

right click desktop properties > screensaver > power>power schemes shutdown monitor or disk after so many mins/hours

or just in your computer's power options set it to hibernate in a specified amount of time...

if you're looking for something more advanced, google for AmpWin Off, or something like that. Used to use it a year or so ago...

I use Power Off, its a program that lets you shutd0wn, hibernate or sleep after a process stops or at a specified time. For the switching on of the pc you can use the BIOS power-up settings.

I agree, this is by far the easiest way to shut down your machine.
