Cloudy screen on opening lid?

Yahoo ! Opened as clean as a whistle.
Your tip has been printed and is in my box.

iStore staff are cleverer now too [more clever ? ]

Found a great book with free download on Mountain Lion , hundreds of very useful pages of info. The rest of winter sorted.....
Now if only I could find the "back to top" button. After reading a chapter on page 386 I have to scroll back to the index. Almost sure there is a button ?

Thanks again for your patience and help.

Just remember. Before play around with advance setting, use Time Machine to keep the latest backup. :)

Thanks creeper, now I have to ask how to empty a Transcend 25P ? This I bought with my 2008 laptop which is now for sale but I backed up every few months so it's full. Do I just buy a new one ?
I also got one yesterday when I picked up my old machine from iFix after a refurb. White with name data Tale , AUS 10X 2.5". It has been used to backup after they refurbed my machine.

Where do I sell a laptop?

No worries.
Re your book; if it's a PDF and you're viewing it with preview, then switch to the table of contents view for easy navigation. CMD+ALT+3

Charles was right ! I'm now hitting the keyboards with renewed vigour, jumping around the book like a spring rabbit. :D

You should have said as much.

To check the current state of these settings (as mentioned in the articles):
1. Press the <CMD> key and the <SPACE BAR>; a spotlight field should appear in the top right corner.
2. Type 'terminal' in this field; your Top Hit should be the Terminal app, click on it with your mouse / touchpad; a new window should appear.

Wtf, OS X still requires people to use the terminal? :p :D
