CoD 4 - Too short!

Not a bad game...but had to stop after 4 hours of solid playing (started getting headaches). This never happened in BF.

Anyone else experienced this? or is there some setting that reduces the wobbling effect?

I also checked out the MP, but its way too hectic - headaches will start setting in after 10 min :o

Shame. Obviously this game is bad for your health. I'll be willing to take it off you since it's obviously stressing you out :)

**Spoiler alert**i played friday and saturday and am now at what I htink is the last section of the game... am playing it on the second hardest difficulty. its the point where you carry the otehr sniper dude and set up behind the ferris wheel... the wave of tango's that get dropped off in the helicopter is where I was stuck for the WHOLE day yesterday... think I will start again and play on normal to suss out the game and then try super hard again...

fave level is Death from Above...

death from above is awesome!

ag with that ferris wheel part i made sure i loaded em c4s in just the right spots for them buggers to run on, the rest consisted of some brilliant sniping on my part if i must say so meself- died many times there too:D

Finished it on hardened in about 5 hours, one the best fps experiences ever created :D

Claymores :p and yeh ... stacked them around and took out quite a few squaddies. I found the best spot to snipe from is at the bottom of the ferriswheel. enough cover against the structure and you could pick them off as they came through the back alley... sniping from up high isnt always the best option.

hehe shame dude. Nah, i finished the game in one sitting. took me about 7hrs and left me feeling rather involved. especially with the rescue mission in the chenook etc.

The Spectra stage must be a first for FPS... really awesome. What I would like to see in future games is a free range chopper/buggie stage where you're not a passenger, but the driver. Or possibly even a class select in a game. Same game, but from different angles, i.e. pilots/snipers (if they can stick to COD4 sniping it would be unstoppable) armor division etc.

oh ... and how awsome is the javelin ????? I saw a video of one on youtube. Goodness crisis.

OK finally finished it. 4 hours + another 2 hours

Then played some MP and got my @ss handed to me seriously...9 kills, 30 deaths in one round...I think this is mostly cause I dont know the maps.

Are these maps you play in MP available in SP? or is there a quiet server where I can become familiar with the maps? or even some kind of walkthrough where I can get some strategies/hints per map?

I'm into GRAW2 now ... and what a disappointment after COD4! In GRAW2 my own team's AI is unbelievably poor ... horrific really. My team members are so stupid that it is better for them to get killed early on. I cannot believe Ubisoft and GRIN still struggles to get this right ... really not acceptable anymore. I've been a huge fan of Clancy games and have played them all ... but with this franchise Ubisoft is falling behind fast now.

I've never been a GRAW fan... it's all OVER tech'd. Really not much in it for the actual game play... it's become a RTS from a FPS point of view :/

I really enjoyed the old ghost recons, i just wish they'd actually SHOW THE WEAPON INSTEAD OF JUST THE CURSOR :mad::mad: That's the one major thing that put them out of the league.

But yar, COD4 has lifted the bar completely.

Still trying to play one mission a day to make it last :(
Played the Chernobyl sniping last night... OMG!
I think im going to go back and play it again!!

OK, since everyone is ignoring me, I'll answer my own question...:D

I found a COD4: Official Strategy Guide in paperback from amazon for $15. I think this is a rip-off...its like selling someone a new BMW M3 and charging them for the advanced driver training manual...I guess this is why piracy exists.

Game FAQ's has a large selection of CoD4 stuff from maps to weapons

if you need a strategy guide for that game....

...then you must be moron, yes.

except the strategy guide has a large section on multiplayer maps, hints and strategies, which is invaluable unless you dont mind getting owned for the first week :p
