Where do you buy decent coffee? In bulk, kg or more. The 250 gram packs are just too pricey for my taste.

I still buy from Mastertons and ship to Cape Town.

Colombo i think is the oldest coffee house in Durban , they will mix you coffee any way you want it .
Their web site is very educational .

"Bean There coffee" have one from The Congo best coffee I've tasted

Woolworths sells decent beans that are usually around R160 for 1KG, also get a Woolworths card for an extra 10% off.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll certainly look into a few of these.

Woollies coffee to my palate is up with best of the commercial coffee offerings, at the very least the best value for money.

+1, take it from me, (Coffee )Beans100, they're good.

When I'm forced to buy from a shop, I only buy Kenna. Kenna is best bang for buck. 500g at about R50, beats any other 250g option out there.
We have a Peacock in the nearby Mall, too. I sometimes try their blends.
I haven't had the best experience with Kenna, tried it a few times and I'm generally thrifty as hell but woollies is worth the few extra bucks, Kenna = bleh

500g
KENNA R65
Woolies R76(after 10% off with Woolies card)

Which one? The master blend(red pack) is good IMO. Green is so-so. Yellow might be ***. I only buy the red one.

I also use the red, it's not dishwater but Woollies is noticeably better.

Last time I checked Tribeca supplies Woolies. I went there once and they were very helpful. They dont specifically cater for the retail market, but they were willing to help me. I go through mountains of coffee.

Tribeca is close to the Brakfontein interchange on the N1

I seriously dislike robusta (which seems to be most african coffees), a good arabica is my choice...

Price of WW beans just went up by quite a bit .. damn!
