Comet ISON to be visible late 2013

A comet has always been an ill-omen from time immemorial. Let us see what this harbinger of inauspiciousness brings when it passes over Earth.

Orbital i will just get tuned broken again

Dude i don't think i can take porch tuning me in every single post. I can't deal with someone who says sorry but doesn't mean it. That just ain't right yo :p

I can handle being tuned, i am used to it but not by one person in every post they make over and over and over.
I sincerely wish that were an example of me "tuning" you. It isn't. I genuinely feel that you need to see a therapist. That isn't the same thing as labelling you as crazy in some silly comment.

Your emotions are all over the place and your distrust of organisations like NASA borders on paranoia. I am concerned for your mental well-being. I'm not insulting you.

I don't think anyone can accurately claim that another needs to seek the help of a therapist when your only medium of communication with them is through this forum. If it was i would probably be suggesting that to 50% of the forum members here, this can be construed as an attack on Killa which you said you're not looking to do at the start of your post. Yes killadoobs conspiracy comet is kooky but i can see why he might get sensitive when you call him crazy, retract it and then tell him he needs to see a therapist. Just my 2cents anyway.
Whether he sees one or not is entirely up to him I'm merely giving him my observations. His reactions to largely similar posts are up and down.

I don't consider someone suffering from mental illness (and I'm not saying he is, just that I think he should consider consulting a professional on the subject) to be anything to be ashamed about. It is like breaking an arm. I don't consider saying to someone "dude, I think you may have broken your arm" to be an insult or an attack on someone.

Porch if that is what you think of me that is fine, you are entitled your opinion. However calling someone mentally ill and claiming it isn't an insult .

As a person with a long history of mental illness in my family, I find your viewing it as though it is something to be ashamed of and considered an insult, as though being mentally ill makes someone lesser, to be rather insulting.

Mental illness is a medical condition. The person suffering from it hasn't done anything wrong and has nothing to be ashamed of just as someone who breaks a bone has nothing to be ashamed of. The way people like you view those with mental illness is what maintains that horrible stigma around it that so often prevents people from seeking the help they need.

I've spent a large portion of my life having to watch for peculiar behaviour in my loved ones in order to better help them manage their conditions. Pointing out the peculiar behaviour and suggesting they inform their psychiatrist is NOT an insult. That is what I have done with you. It is genuine concern and an attempt to help, NOT an attempt to belittle you or hurt you.

If you choose not to heed my advice then that is fine, it is your mental health and so your decision. However to turn around and label my concern for you as an attempt to insult you is unfair.

I never said i took offense to the comment but the notion that calling someone mentally ill without knowing them is considered a personal attack and a complete insult, i would never call someone mentally ill because i don't agree with them like you do. If your family suffers from mental illness perhaps you picked up it if you think telling someone they are mentally ill without knowing them isn't an insult :D

They say mental illness runs in the family so if your family has a problem perhaps you should heed your own advice :D. Sorry i am just showing my concern for you considering your family has mental illness issues and as you mention it is nothing to be ashamed of, it is possible to have inherited it from them porch, i am concerned for you as much as you are for me. However i don't know you so i can't say you are mentally ill, nor would i call you mentally ill regardless of your opinion.

Moving on from porch and his mental illness concerns for himself for me and anyone else he thinks could be mentally ill. Put your hands up if you think you think you are mentally ill before porch tells you that you are, just so we can get all this mental illness out the way chop chop.

My sister has a friend that has an 11" SCT, not sure if that is powerful enough but she has a few telescopes. Whether i can see ison from the southern hemisphere i dunno i will check it out this weekend. I read early morning sunrise.

Comet ison pictures should start coming in today from nasa. For now i am following it using amateurs which will be considered rubbish because it isn't nasa but hopefully nasa brings us some good pics in the coming days. She is forwarding me what she can see sometime today from her 11 sct telescope. Hopefully it is good stuff :D i will upload what she can see if it's any good, then try find ison if it's possible in the southern hemisphere.

Killa are you sure you've linked the correct pictures there?

This is your friend? https://twitter.com/AstroTanja

My sisters very good friend, she lives in the same complex but yes that is her. I didn't link the pictures she emailed them to me. I know her basically from a few parties and so on that my sister has had. My sister mentioned she had good telescopes over the weekend.

Those are some very nice pics. Thanks for posting.

No worries, hopefully she can spot mars tonight, i will ask her to take some pics if she can and send them to me. Then hopefully she will allow me to look on the 1st assuming we can see mars and the sky is clear :D. Waiting to hear back if she can see mars.

I never said you are mentally ill. I said your behaviour is peculiar and I recommended that you get a professional opinion.

Of course I ask my loved ones around me to watch my behaviour and point out if I am ever behaving in a manner indicative of some sort of paranoia or delusion. I feel it is the responsible thing to do. I'd hope your loved ones would do the same for you killa.

Those pictures are gorgeous. Keep them coming.

So moving away from the mental illness issue....

Hopefully she can see mars, not sure what time or whether she can even see it at night. Accuweather says it's a clear sunny day so hopefully it stays clear tonight and hopefully if she can see mars it is clear on sunday-wednesday.
