Definitely more performance than whatever SUV she's looking at in that price range. Plenty of overtaking power. CVT is the only issue, and that would only bother car enthusiasts...

This was so off my radar I had to google it .I love that it's a sedan and was so excited until I saw the ground clearance of 127mm. Not sure if it can handle bumpy roads in Mpumalanga and Limpopo which we frequent a lot.

Also, since you are doing something nice for yourself, spend a little bit more and get yourself a Porsche approved Porsche Mecan. You can get some with around 40K mileage. You’ll thank yourself forever

Overtaking Decently means you should only be looking at Turbo-Charged cars so a CX5 is already out.

Haval/Chery or any other chinese also out because you want to keep long term and want great fuel consumption.

Get a diesel Kia Sportage or Hyundai Tucson.

I have a Megane RS with even lower ground clearance and had no issues with comfort in Mpumulanga, in the Pilgram's Rest area which has really crappy roads. The least you should do is at least go for a test drive...

The CR-V non-turbo is quite decent. Doesn't pull like your i20, but this is for comfort.

The after sales service is next level. Wines on your birthday and Christmas. Invitation to track days. Free refreshments at the Porsche centre. Plus you can arrive with your 20 year old Porsche and they’ll treat you like you just bought their top of the range model.

Oh and the reliability- they’ll tell you, even if you want to top up the water level, bring it to us, we’ll do it for you. No oil leaks, no funny sounds. It comes with motor plan which can be renewed up to 150000km. (It’s cheaper than BMW’s) motor plan.

Look, just visit the Porsche centre and get a feel of how you are treated when you walk in. That’ll be life going forward

Have you driven a CR-V after 2021?
Overtaking won't be an issue unless you want to compete in 'overtaking olympics' like most BMW and taxi drivers.
