Command & Conquer 3: Kane Wrath

ADD. It happens. Even in gaming. I know the feeling:
"omgomgomgIrlyneedtogopeebutIneedtofinishthismission.....- ****. There's another stage???"
We must be strong, gdiza!!! Eventually we WILL get over this period of boredom and find gaming nirvana (and I must say, I've only found that when playing Final Fantasy or a Gran Theft)

Damn these one hour missions become a bit much after a short while :(

Like the intensity of the fire fights though, reminds me of sup com

Yeah, the fights look beautiful but ag, I'm over 'beautiful graphics'

I want something more... and I have no idea what it is.

COD4 expansion pack... lol

lol just ordered the decade pack from wantitall :)

My only hassle is i have about 200 games i have yet to play and so i have no idea what to play next :p

cpu is fine but i would upgrade the gpu unless you enjoy 800 by 600 with low detail.

Have seen a riend play it with an x2 3800 and a 7300gt at 800 by 600 and it was actually not that bad, def not a slide show in any way

I much prefer the long missions where you get lots of different objectives, lots or armies and lots of battles.

"All that glitters" on the other hand is poo. You get two stupid shadow teams and have to float around laying beacons for bombardment. I haven't managed to set one single beacon yet :(

haven't got there yet and i h8 that type of stupid mission :(

Finally managed it. Once you lay the charges and take out the power stations the defences go down and you get some reinforcements in the shape of stealth tanks, and the new stealthed bombarder things. Which is fun :)

Is it just me or are NOD still massively underpowered compared to the other two? This is why it sucks that they make you play throught the NOD campaign first.

I thought that NOD were pretty sucky in TW, and that this expansion would finally give them some muscle, but every improvement they have received has been met by a bigger and better Scrin or GDI improvement.

Granted, the Spector is great for long-range bombardment, but it suffers from the same problem that all NOD vehicles suffer from - lack of armour. It only takes a few hits and it's gone.

There is the mini tank which is great against flyers but has no ground attack (GDI have the same thing) and then there is that fast thing which can garrison men and become a permanent bunker.

Hardly anything to get overly excited about.

Compare that to what GDI and the SCRIN got...In addition to the ridiculously over-powered Mammoth tank, GDI now have a decent aircraft in the Hurricane, also capable of garrisoning men, the above-mentioned anti-aircraft tank, as well as various walkers, all of which are new, powerful and exciting.

As for the Scrin. They were already superstrong in TW. Add in the new vehicles, like the segmented hexapede or whatever it is called, and they are almost unstoppable. These guys only cost 1200 to build, and you can have as many as you like! Crazy. Overlords Wrath is expensive at $4000, but it sure deals a lot of damage, and as for their super heavy, strong vs everything walker...it just starts to get out of hand.

GDI's MARV is also ridiculously powerful, when allied with a few garrisoned rocketeers and rifle squads it is nearly impossible to bring down.

Again, NOD's heavy walker seems to be the weakest - I could only garrison two different types of infantry in it, and it was slow to fire and slow to move around :(

What do you guys think?

Wow, just finished it apparently :(

The campaign is ONLY NOD. You don't get to play as anything else. There are only 13 missions. In Skirmish mode you can play as anyone though. Pretty sucky if you ask me. Anyone know when the next expansion is due out??

huh 13 missions for an 8 gig dl (finished 7 so far), sucks major will not be buying me thinks :(

Ya, it does pretty much suck. And it's all with NOD, who are still pretty lame if you ask me.

There is some new global domination thing which looks like a low-budget version of Risk, and didn't grab me at all. Think the 8GB consists mainly of the High-def videos in between each mission, which I could gladly do without!

hmm...i think Cnc3 TW also had about 13 missions for campaign for nod or gdi, haven't really been playing, do like 1 mission then go do something else, think i was on the 6th or 7th mission.

I like the fact they brought back some old classic units like Titans and wolverines, used to love using that combo in the original Tiberium Sun and ya i agree Nod are pretty sucky compared to GDI and Scrin and that avatar thing is pretty useless imo compared to the mammoth tank/tripod thing.

The cool thing that came with the pre order though is they give you a beta key for Red Alert 3 which you're suppose to be able to download in September I think :)
