I have been saying for years, the only reason Macs dont get infected is because they weren't mainstream enough for virus writers to target. When you write malicious code, you want the maximum impact. The bit about Mac users being soft targets applies, because they believe marketing hype and not cold hard facts.

I really am the last one to defend mac, but as far as I know this article is detailing Windows maleware on mac, and corrupted OS`s on torrents. Theres no real issue here if you just use a legit version of mac.
