Compact SUV suggestions

Not sure on your budget, If you within the R300k range and if boot space is not a serious factor, go and drive a 1.0l Turbo Ford Ecosport with plenty bells and whistles, decent car. Newly launched T-Cross, as well as Creta are also decent.
Suzuki Vitara - not impressed with engine (naturally aspirated 1.6, test drive one uphill)
Haval H6 - fuel economy an issue
BRV, Rush- awful
Not overly impressed with the renaults (Captur and Duster), particularly resale value
CX3, HRV, X Trail etc can get a decent demo around R300k
