I've mostly mainly dealt with NVIDIA for most of my YouTube/Gaming career, but how is the Radeon R9 290 vs the Nvidia GTX 1060?

Take the 1060 just because it's more power efficient.

If your other option was the rx480 then the radeon would make sense.

The 1060 is better performance & power wise. The RX 480 is a decent GPU and a better buy than the 290/390.

I prefer the 1060, easier on the pc regarding power usage, and I'm more of an NVidia fanboy
