Compiz Fusion Help

I've never used compiz before but installed it. set up the the 3d cube and tinkered with some settings that eventually got the cube to show the way I wanted it to. Then after adjusting the timing settings, I no longer see the cube. it just scrolls left and right but not have the cube in the middle of the screen.

Any help with basic settings to get the cube to work normally?
