IS ADSL is unshaped, on their capped and uncapped packages. Unshaped =! low latency, it merely means no port is treated higher than the other.

So even tho IS go via satellite 600-700ms to USA, its still an unshaped service.
 
I am totaly chuffed with my SAOL 30GB account today as I get good download speeds at 107kB/s on HTTP on their IPC server. I was a little concerned when my account details were not fixed this morning at 12:15 AM, but they came through magnificently at 08:00 AM. Not bad for New Years Day.
 
Spoke to IS and yes they do have shaped and unshaped ADSL useage...and I'm unshaped according to them.....
 
I stick to my original explanation, as we deal with these accounts daily.

You are paying R91 more for an account you can get for R199. But, as we have it, this country is one of freedom and choice.

It's hard for things to be taken seriously, when people trying to make a point on a forum can't even spell correctly.
 
Forums are here to facilitate a rapid exchange of views and ideas, they are not meant for the publishing of university degree level essays. Because a lot of things posted on forums are written quickly and off the cuff I think bad spelling and grammer can easily be forgiven.

If anyone has difficulty understanding posts because of spelling and grammer, maybe its a result of over-education that s seriously hampered their comprehension skills.

As to what overseas visitors think of us and our level of literacy, maybe they should visit their own forums before passing judgement.

As far as i can tell, there is no need for a comma after the word seriously in the above sentence.
