Hi there,

I'm new here on this forum, I had searched through the forum but didn't find anything that covers my problem :(

Sometime ago I downloaded from Huawei website drivers and firmware update for my modem, I execute the *.ISO file and now my computer only detects a Huawei Mass Storage USB Device (as a CD-Rom) and don't detect the modem part...

I've tried to connect to other computers but the device only detects and install the CD-Rom, the USB modem isn't detected or installed...

There is any way of rollback the state of this device allowing system to detect this device as a E220 Modem? :(

Thanks for any help...

Best if you take it to a retail outlet in your country, and ask them to flash the E220's firmware with a firmware version appropriate for the network and operating system that you are using.

Hi there,

Thanks for your answer. I keep searching while waiting for help and I was able to solve my problem :D

I went to the ISP Homepage and download http://www.kanguru.pt/NR/rdonlyres/...741658E8/0/HuaweiE220UpgradeVista23052007.zip then I use "Datacard update.exe" and finally installed the other *.exe files. I was only able to use the "Datacard update.exe" file in a friend's PC with Windows Vista.

Now I can't find a compatible driver for Data Card for my operating system Windows XP X64... the XP 32 Bit and Windows Vista 32 and 64Bit drivers doesn't work in this system... I can't find it anywhere :(:(

Hi,

I'm proud to say that X64 XP users can finally use their E220 modem working perfectly :)

Note that I'm not the user that make it work, the user that do the trick was "porkkis" from the Huawei Forum Support.

I was able to get Vista x64 drivers working on XP x64 with a little inf tweaking. Use with your own risk.

Finally I have my XP X64 running every software and hardware smoothly :)
It's a shame Huawei didn't officially released the drivers for this system, at least some nice user did the trick for them.

Diogo
