Not by a long shot. It's certainly one of the most used programs, but that doesn't make it the best.

dude, not to rip him off, just build him a super pc.
double your ram, stick in a 1t hdd, better vga card and bobs your uncle.
still though, I dont get why he just doesnt get a decent laptop for 10k or up - so much nicer than a pc, bit silly getting a pc if he doesnt want a gaming pc - actually bit silly getting a gaming pc when the graphics card costs 2x more than an xbox360 and even more than a PS3 (**choke choke**) go figure...
Nortons is the worst AV on the market. It is going to cause problems, I would suggest free Avast or AVG or paid for NOD32

who the hell wants a floppy drive? Like as in seriously. I haven't seen one in ages. And a 1.44MB stiffy is the same price as a 4GB dvd.... comparison, somebody? And nobody can seriously be using it in this age. Everyone (I hope) has converted to flash drives or whatever...
