Concurrent connections

I'm a newbie here so please be gentle...

I'm looking for a little help regarding concurrent connections, i.e. more than one connection using the same ISP login details. For example, I have 2 x ADSL lines, one for work and one for home, currently linked to 2 different ISPs. Some ISPs state that one can have more than 1 concurrent connection for a particular package, others state only one connection - or don't state it in their blurb but limit you to only one when asked the question.

If I am using an uncapped package, then I understand that by limiting me to only one connection the ISP exerts some control over my usage and I have no problem with that.

However, if I am paying for a capped package, let's say 400GB/month, surely I should be allowed to use that from more than one ADSL connection. After all, I can only use up to my 400GB cap however many connections I use.

My reasons for asking are two-fold:

Firstly, I am having untold hassles with one of the ISPs (who allows 5 concurrent connections on my capped package) while on my uncapped package (which works like a dream!) I am allowed only one. I would like to change the package I receive from the hassle-less ISP (MWeb) to allow using that ISP's login from 2 locations - but they say "No", they don't allow that on any package, capped or uncapped.

Secondly, it surely makes financial sense to pay for only one very large capped package from only one ISP and to be able to use it from 2 locations.

I'm really not trying to get anything for free. I just would like to receive that for which I pay (automatically via debit order each and every month) without all the hassle. I've had enough with call centres, Telkom techies, rebooting hourly and staring at my screen waiting for it to refresh. A family who seem to think that it's all my fault doesn't help!!

Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I need to dump both ISPs and find one which allows multiple concurrent connections?

Our WebAfrica Business Capped account has four concurrently connections that we use at three different sites.

It's really up to your ISP. I have a Vox account with two concurrent connections. I manage both through a single pfSense box, so allocate the WAN connection to each device as desired. Each line has its own modem/router of course.
