Good day,

I have a slight problem and I am not sure how to resolve it.

I have to design a conference room and this is what they want.

Wireless presenting - which i know Airmedia or WEpresent does
Wireless personal Skype and blue jeans - Not sure how (External mic, camera and speakers)
must be compatible with MAC and Windows

all they want to go is BYOD and connect to a unit and be able to Skype and present at the same time or different times

They do not want any cables, but might be able to convince them to use 1 usb cable.

Does anyone out there perhaps have a solution for me?

Hi we are busy with a POC for a client using this extron sharelink 200 and it works perfectly

you will need to connect it to the network and anyone who is on the Wifi will be able to share to this device. This will then have an HDMI out that can be connected to Monitor or Video Conferencing system.

Regards

yes i know that device, but it doesn't solve my Wireless personal Skype and blue jeans, just because one guy doesn't want to keep typing his Skype details into a micro pc that's attached to the screen

I also have to do something extremely similar! Will be watching this thread for some ideas.

Why not have a skype account for the room ?

Well its two solutions really.

1) Wireless presentation. The best solution is to get AirMedia - Crestron (AM-100) it works great, as iv tested it and played with it at another company. works great

2) which is my headache is to some how get Skype and Bluejeans to work wirelessly, with all the stuff I mention below. I can get it all working with one USB cable, "But we want wireless" I hate wireless.

What I told them i have and working and tested is : 1 x USB mixer (Alesis MultiMix 4 USB Four-Channel USB Mixer) (For the Samson CM11B Omni-directional Boundry Microphone) connected to a usb hub with a usb3.0 to hdmi for the tv and connected with a usb lifecam studio camera..

So this is the setup all nicely hidden under the table. all working, but its not wireless

Iv tested it and it works great.

All the things i have come up with will work with one USB cable and they are

1 x USB mixer (http://www.takealot.com/alesis-multimix-4-usb-four-channel-usb-mixer/PLID36962536)
1 x USB hub (http://www.takealot.com/transcend-usb3-0-4-port-hub/PLID29401929)
1 x mic (http://www.takealot.com/samson-cm11b-omni-directional-boundry-microphone/PLID36962604)
1 x web cam (http://www.takealot.com/microsoft-lifecam-studio-webcam/PLID29422135)
1 x 5m USB extension cable (http://www.takealot.com/lindy-usb3-0-a-male-to-micro-b-male-cromo-cable-1m/PLID32845602)
1 x sound bar (http://www.takealot.com/jvc-th-s370-37-slim-bluetooth-sound-bar/PLID38678046)
1x USB to HDMI (http://www.takealot.com/unitek-usb-3-0-to-hdmi-1080p-adapter/PLID34146526)

all these will work for Skype and for presenting.

What are your thoughts?

I deal with directors on a daily basis for a national business college. I think if you can make them "believe" its wireless and show them how simple and seamless everything works, they should be happy.

As far as BYOD goes, we use wepresent, I'm sure there must be mobile apps to make this work flawlessly.
