Maybe they are too busy using their 10mbit lines?
Or maybe nobody ever asked them & so they never told anyone about their luck.

Many (especially companies) have no clue whether or not they're on faster lines as they simply don't know how to check / access their router / or even care, as long as it works.
WA is a reputable company and wouldn't make up a number.
As for why we haven't seen posts about 10mb lines yet, I'd wager that the vast majority of posters are checking their residential ADSL speeds only. Perhaps the 3000 are mostly business lines?
PS. The constant threats of running to the ASA is childish.

They are trying to claim something that is not unique to them. Unless they have a specific arrangement with Telkom, they are claiming what what every ISP is able to do.
Telkom has confirmed that some lines might report 10Mbit speeds but the actual speed is not greater than 4096k.
So Webafrica its not real speed increases, Telkom is merely sending wrong connection info to the ISP.
So the 3000 people are actually 3000 4096k users and NOT 10Mbit!

Necr0, I think what Waroop is trying to say is that a 10Mbps line speed is a first for South Africa, not a "Web Africa first". You are misinterpreting the fact that Web Africa are proudly announcing SA 's growth in the industry and saying that they are able to support and offer this as a product option in the regions where it is available.

Could someone from WA not publish a list of suburbs/exchanges of the lucky 10Mbps users?
This way we could see if our exchange might be supported yet..

Well that is playing with words. Cause it could also mean that they are the first ISP in South Africa to offer that.
Its playing with word to create a perception that is not true.
