Hi,
I have booked my Drivers license for code B and A, however I asked if I was able to tow a off road caravan(which is heavier than a normal caravan)I was told that I should come with the caravan to do my test and then I would automatically get the EB code. How do I go about getting the right license to tow a caravan? and I also booked my Code A license and was told that I should get a bike bigger than 125cc to do the test with, is this true?
Thanx in advance

Hi. What I can tell you is that if you go for a bike licence with a 125cc, that is your max engine size. If you go with say a 175cc you can drive any bike 1100cc etc...

One idea is to go for those small truck licenses. If you go through a driving school you pay an extra R50 or so per lesson, but if you can already drive you only need to book +- 2 lessons and you can use their trucks when you physically get your license. This is assuming you have passed the learners for trucks.

Hope it helps.

Only thing is if you've already booked for a B licence, you won't be able to pass out with a small truck, as then you need to do the other learner's licence. Code 3.

Take the trailer and do the EB license. You need EB if your trailer is over 750kg GVM if I remember correctly.

B is a normal car license.

Yes it is. Which means he can pass out for the EB, but not a C or greater such as skusku recommended, as then he'd have to do his learner's licence again.

Yes it is.

Sorry, I misread what you said as "pass without a small truck" ;)

All these people who do truck licenses instead of car licenses because it's easier must ****. I don't want you on the road with me if you can't parallel park or alley dock.
