I have recently been impressed by Telkoms service lately.

Here's the story:

In the 31st August I was moving to a new complex in the same street as my current complex. On the 22nd of August (the Saturday) I went to the Telkom shop and asked if they could please move my line to the new complex and please could they do this on the 1st September, as I had the day off.

The morning of the 31st I received a call from Telkom informing me that as I requested, a technician would be coming the following more to transfer my line. 9am Yesterday morning the guy arrived and was done in about 30min with everything working 100%.

Serious big it up to Telkom for being on the ball.

Now that's something you don't see everyday.

Same here

We applied for a second ADSL line which was installed and activated within 2 days! what is going on at telkom? Who got the wake up call, no pun intended:D

Keep up this service Telkom, But bring broadband prices down now!

1 in a million

not really, same happened with me: here

Telkom has been working on their services. Their pricing, caps, etc... that we do not speak of.....

/awaits TIAL's RAS  comment....

i recently moved over from Vodacom 3G to telkom.net.

Apart from it taking 20 months to install my line, I'm very impressed by the 0800375375 helpdesk staff and their responses.

I can't say the same for Vodacom which leads me to my point:

everyone is like "Welcome to Hellkom" and we expect that which hasn't been my experience lately.

But Vodacom we don't expect crap service from and they give crap service. Just some food for thought....

exact same thing happened when i did my switch when we moved houses...and they did 3 follow up calls to make sure it was completed and is working fine.

not really happy with them they still using crappy chinese proxy making my europe and US work or games go half the speed instead of using the UK server.

Tried so many times to get them to change it and they say whats a proxy server or dns server :P

3 weeks and counting

Telkom took 7 weeks to install my line, and another 1 to activate the ADSL, and another three days to sort out my access issues. But, maybe the fact that I was on their case all through the process helped.

I've had pretty good help from the ADSL call centre. Theline ordering centre is still below par..

starcraft goes under 100 ping on asia servers lol yet europe goes at 400 ping and US is 400 ping +

really wish telkom would change their proxy who wants to use china websites anyway
