I tried using the wifi at home with my phone but I can't browse even if I'm connected.I tried using the wps button method,my phone say's press the wps button and it immediately connects when the button is pressed.

I have my line and modem from telkom and account from mweb if it makes a difference.

Tried that already:(.I went to my router settings and it's showing my laptop,pc and phone as being connected(laptop and phone are connected via the wifi). The internet on my pc is working fine.

Check your DNS ping an Ip on the internet rather than the DNS name and see if it works.

I used the app called ping on my phone and pinged 8.8.8.8 and it said 5 packets transmitted,0 received and 100% packet loss.

Just set up the connection manually - WPS is a security risk in any case. Check that the gateway IP is set as the router IP. Make sure WPA/2 is used.

Yes I can ping my router. Also I tried resetting my factory settings on my router and still nothing.

Hi There,
I occassionally get the same problem with wireless connections. Try associating the MAC address of the phone with a set ip address in the router. I have seen this sort the problem out sometimes.

Regards

Tim

Check your default gateway/preferred dns ip's and make sure they are the same as your routers ip. I have been running into this problem a lot lately - looks connected but isn't.

Are you connecting with an android device? go to settings > wireless and networks > data usage and make sure that it isnt blocking your connection/make sure the option for autosync is checked - for some reason android devices (running jelly bean) tend to turn off autosync and the likes - at least the two times I have run into this problem.
