Hi All
I have managed to create a drawing (with the help of master Geoff D) of the connection diagram to connect the new DSTV Explora 2A, the old type Explora 2 and the 4U Decoder models.
I will also add the private discussion between myself and Geoff D on how to do the connections, hence me doing the drawing. Reason is that I am not sure about the Diplexer connection part of it. So would need your help here, or Geoff's?
The connection diagram:

The discussion:
(1) You want to install the 3 decoders in separate rooms, all connected to a co-located TV via HDMI.
(2) You do not want to share content between the decoders via RF (this reduces all content to SD quality).
(3) You do not want control decoders from remote viewing points via tvLINKs.
Then what you will need is a Smart LNB from MC, model LMX 501, A diplexer for the Explora 1 and for the 4136 decoder ( Diplexer NOT required for the 5U or 5S).
Run a cable from the SLNB ports A, B, C to each point where a decoder is to be installed Connect one cable to the LNB (Unicable port on the Explora 2A), and ensure that when you configure the setup, this decoder becomes the Primary IF all the decoders are to be activated under one subscription.
Connect a cable to the diplexer installed right behind the Explora 1, with the correct port connected to the LNB input on the decoder and the second port on the diplexer connected to the RF IN port on the Explora 1. Simiralty for the HD decoder if it is a 4U or 4S.
That is it. done.
Configure the Explora 2A to use userbands and frequencies 0,1,2 Explora 1 to use 3,4,5 HD decoder 4U or 4S to use 6.
HD decoder 5U or 5S to use 6, 7. (They have two tuners)
