DOOMIE, how do you set it to ADSL2+. Also have a DG834, but don't see a setting for that.

Ok go log into your router, then navigate to ADSL settings, and at the bottom you will see DSL Mode click on box and select ADSL+2 and click apply and if there ADSL2+ there it should snyc just fine.. otherwise put it back to auto mode:D

I have been using ADSL2+ to synch with the fourways exchange since last year, I don't think this is anything new chaps.

Not sure if this happened recently as I haven't tried it before, but I can sync with ADSL2+

Connection Speed - 384 kbps
Line Attenuation - 8.0 db
Noise Margin - 39.0 db

Apparently those stats are pretty good :)

You should still be able to get 8Mb on normal ADSL....also when on auto your setting will automatically change to ADSL2 when syncing at higher than 8Mb/s hence the surprised users on MyBB....
"Downloading at 10MB!!!!"

my router is still on g.dmt even with adsl2+ selected to be used guess my exchange in town hasnt been upgraded

Same here... No upgrade to DSLAM equipment, still syncing at G.DMT - my exchange is on Kiepersol Street, in Wilro Park (011 768)

My Netgear DG834 GT has no settings at all regarding ADSL2 or ADSL 2+.The box claims it is ADSL 2+ in which case since I have had it for about a year I have no problem synching at ADSL 2+.Also Fourways exchange.

Same here, been using ADSL2+ to synch with the fourways exchange since about nine years ago, I dont think this is new either.
