Connection After 18:00

I know you were probably joking, but being billed for that would have been idiotic. On the R250 plan you have to specifically change a setting to be online after 6PM. Myself and I'm sure hundreds of others, leave their PC on most of the day with Steam, Origin, Ubi Connect and the works running auto updating games.

It was I think Tuesday/Wednesday I noticed being online after 6PM, because I happen to be in a CSGO game anticipating the disconnect but were pleased to finish the match and still continue well after my usual schedule. :D

And no way they didn't know about this since day 1.

That for me would have been fancy even in 2002. Was still using an internal 56k modem, being very jealous of ISDN users and then ADSL came out later that year and it was like discovering alien tech (which we only got in our own home by 2006)

But yeah, many 7 rands were wasted back then due to random disconnects. Two days to download a 700MB ISO? Yes.

Yup, took an entire weekend to download anything useful 20 years ago. But Telkom almost everytime guaranteed would drop your connection somewhere and you were then forced to dial back in for another 7 bux. Bastards
