Hey guys, this is disgraceful I know but I've been with TelkomInternet for the past 2 years about, the reasons why are not important but basically theres very few reasons not to just make the move to uncapped. Right now the package I'm on is the 4Mb line with 9GB international and 30GB local. The line is R413 and the package is ~R540.
Now I'm not the account holder and it's not up to me but I would like to convince them to jump ship because quite honestly the pricing is just ridiculous. The only things that I cannot complain about are line speed/stability. I haven't had a disconnect in years and get very good speeds for just about everything. I also went onto the Telkom site to confirm all the prices and such, and I was very shocked at how unprofessional their marketing was. The grammar is swak and there's very little concrete information. It also looks like they didn't proofread because on the 9GB package it states that you will be moved to local once you have "exceeded the 5GB cap". Hmmmmmm.
Anyways, the account holder has been using the email address [email protected] for a few years now, and doesn't want to lose the email address by changing ISP's. I'm trying to convince them to get the MWEB 4Mb standard uncapped for pretty much the same price overall. It's not like we're going to use it to download the internet, I'm not SUCH a heavy user and neither is anyone else who uses the line.
What you guys think? Is there any way to keep the old email address, or any ways to make the transition as painless as possible? Also any good arguments to convince them to change would be great.
