Consumers must help now - Eskom

I've heard via the grapevine that wet coal never was the problem, something about a power station going south.

The wet coal is a lie.

Stockpiles. They have none, because of the rain yes but due to deliveries not getting through not wet coal.

It's a logistics problem. Or rather it's due to a lack of planning/competence problem affecting logistics.

It remains a lie...
The truth is (and I probably shouldn't reveal this) is that they suffered a problem at a power station... Problem fixed, so today alles is sommer weer reg....

Whoo! Gonna be awkward if the truth comes out.
Well someone posted elsewhere on the forum, confirming what I was told. They lost generation capacity Wednesday night later or early Thursday morning.

Why not - the money is going back to the tax payer where it is arguably better used. Economically, it would be a good thing. Politically, it would be an excellent thing.
No it wouldn't. We need a stable power supply no matter the cost. An economy without that is _screwed_ especially one that aspires to semi-industrialized status.

The only thing we help them do - is to make their fat asses even fatter by paying higher electricity rates per Kwh year on year...without them doing what a national energy supplier - with the monopoly - is meant to do...their repetitive failure to provide ENOUGH power for South Africa is damn close to treason.

Its their job to find the solution to the problem and provide the capacity....no matter what. FAIL.

Forcing consumers to use less electricity all the time - simply means they DON'T HAVE CAPACITY or ABILITY, while holding on to the monopoly.

If 7 days of rain in part of RSA can bring the national energy supplier to its knees. SA is stuffed....plain and simple. They have no contingency plan, and they always make their problem and their piss poor forward planning, their consumers problem.

This supplier has SA by the gonads. The only people benefiting from that - is ESKOMs top executives.
