Hi Guys,

have an issue and would be happy if you can help resolve. I have another 7 months of contract left with MTN with whom I bought S3. I am leaving the country and would like to close the contract. But honoring my contract seems to be the cheaper option than foreclosing it. I was thinking of selling the SIM along to reduce my loss but no takers yet. I wouldnt want to give it to an unknown person as well since it is in my name... this is my case.. suggestions are most welcome..

If you sell the contract, you can have it transferred to their name as well.

You can sell the contract however you want. You and the buyer will have to go a MTN store and get it transferred

Oh is it.. does the selling mean including the handset? Any procedure that you can advise?

you and other person go to mtn and request transfer of ownership. MTN will do a credit check on other person prior to transfer.

You could always do a deal with person where you pay ,say R100 x 7 into said account. This is to cover the phone portion. Then people must pay after that is used. This can allow you to keep the phone. or similar, only an example

Is it still an old style contract movielover? Cause this new packages is just making me sick if u can give me the details of your package i might be able to assist.
