Hey Guys.

Im looking for an app (Preferably free), that i can use to duplicate my PC monitor on my iPad, and control it via the iPad.

It doesn't need to be anything crazy, as i will literally be pressing 2 buttons on the PC via the iPad.

I tried using Remote Desktop Apps, but the problem is it logs the PC out, and i need both to be visible.

I would like this to preferably work over WiFi, or Bluetooth type of thing.

Thanks in advance.
Dex

edit to add: i would rather not need an internet connection, as the Laptop and iPad will be a meter away from each other at most.

Hey there,

Have a look at TeamViewer. Its free as long as you use it for private use. You simply install the software on your PC and then the App on your iPad. Then connect using the username and password it provides and you have yourself full remote access to your PC from your iPad. Works wonderfully, I use it all the time.

Using Splashtop 2. It also logs the PC out but the app works the best of all I tested

+1 if you set up a teamviewer account you can set up multiple computers so you don't need to remember the ID and pass code.

Fantastic,

Thanks so much guys, will give it a try tonight, and see how it goes, will also let you guys know if i came right.

I use Remoter VNC, by far the best one I have tried but it is not free.

You can buy modules separately however so if you only need VNC then you only pay for that. No internet connection required for RDP, VNC, etc.

Another vote for Splashtop2

I use WifiSendHID (keyboard and trackpad only, no screen duplication) when I need to do stuff on the HTPC. There's a free version you can try.

iTeleport is the best of the VNC style apps if you really have to see the screen on the iPad, but it's $23 or something.

Splashtop 2 is great, except for occasional aspect-ratio problems.
