Converged services emerge

WirelessG is also working on true broadband convergence...

My friend works there and they will soon hav a way of offering Wi-Fi, 3G, ADSL and voice in one package...

Just need to throw in DSTV and I'm on board!

All this convergence stuff means pretty much nothing to the average man on the street. With broadband prices where they are, it would be like buying a cool V12 8 liter super car, parking it in the garage and leaving it there, as the price of petrol is just way too high to drive the thing. Maybe on the odd occasion you start it up and listen to the lovely thump thump sound it makes whilst idling (that is when you have a look at the TV Schedule of your nice shiny new IPTV, see what you what movies are playing and then switching off your TV - price of bandwidth too high so can't watch a nice HD movie.)

Or am I missing something?

If they can deliver internet, voice and VOD (video on demand) over one IP connection (of the customers choice) then I would be happy.
