Cooking Courses/Classes

Can anyone here recommend some good courses in the Johannesburg area...?

I have a friend who would benefit from some very basic cooking classes but I see there is quite a variety offered. (even Pick'n Pay)

I have not attended a cooking class and might not be much use, but basic cooking skills such as knife techniques, fundamental sauces, uses of herbs and spices, layering of flavours and so forth, can be picked up very easily on the internet. I have a series of short videos from Rouxbe that are tremendously practical and condensed, and I use them as a point of reference frequently.

Cerebus I would agree with you but she is not Internet savvy and she needs to be shown and practice with other people I think.
@MickeyD : I had no idea they offered classes. Will have a look.
