Yeap, a VPN would definitely complicate things. The plot thickens. You don't think there's some possibility that your VPN could be the issue here?

I am not sure i have heard people complain about isps blocking websitesWhy would your ISP be blocking websites?
But two people on my network use vpns so how would i know. So Cool ideas doesnt block vpns right. Bc i have been using it for over a year and nothing has ever happendYeap, a VPN would definitely complicate things.
Well, firstly, your ISP would need to have methods implemented to do so, which is a major undertaking. But unless they have a notice page, it's pretty difficult to tell why a connection wouldn't be established. Also how would i know if a website is been blocked by my isp?
Maybe you should read post #2 again. And then once you've done that, read it again.I am not sure i have heard people complain about isps blocking websites
This would speak to the SSL issue.Incorrect date/time or timezone maybe?
Are you part of the cool ideas team? Would i get a notification informing me about connections not being able to be established?Well, firstly, your ISP would need to have methods implemented to do so, which is a major undertaking. I even diabled my settings on firefox where it says only https sites but i am not sureThis would speak to the SSL issue.
So you telling me isps cant just block websites. Although i dont think i am blockedMaybe you should read post #2 again. And then once you've done that, read it again.
Cool Ideas isn't blocking anything. the problem is YOUR side. Also how would i know if a website is been blocked by my isp?
So then most probably it is my router that is blocking something. I will have to check it out. Thanks for the confirmation.Cool Ideas isn't blocking anything. the problem is YOUR side.
Yeap, and no, as mentioned, there is no practical way for us to actively block anything. But being the Internet, if another network has an issue, we wouldn't have any visibility of it.Are you part of the cool ideas team? They can. But they don't.So you telling me isps cant just block websites. Although i dont think i am blocked

Bypass your router and try again?
Okay thanksThey can. But they don't.
Cool Ideas said they never blocked it although Firefox webpage does say they are doing maintenence on their firefox accounts but i highly doubt it is related as i tried on my phone using mobile data and it works
Okay thanks for your help i managed to get it sorted outConnect your laptop to your phone's hotspot, so it uses mobile data, and see if it still gives the same error.
There are a lot of reasons this error can happen. Proxy config, firewall, VPN, antivirus, etc.
If you use a different ISP (mobile data) it could rule out the ISP being the issue and you can focus on these.
What ended up being the problem? Might help the next guyOkay thanks for your help i managed to get it sorted out
Thanks for your help again, Somehow after two weeks i started working again. I asked one of my friends to check it out but they also couldn't figure out the problem but when i started my laptop today it started working which was weird for me. Although someone else told me it had something to do with the ssl certificates expiring which was odd. Must of been something temporary though. Anyways thanks again PBCool.Yeap, and no, as mentioned, there is no practical way for us to actively block anything.
