Looking better this morning - but recent stability is becoming worrying, and seems that is fine during the day, but lt the sun set or weekend arrive and all hell breaks loose :-(

And last night when I could not stream a thing, youtube stuttering and I had to switch to vodacom to log a call with cool ideas ...

This took me right back to my days on the RAIN 5G network :crying:

MFN is a different story at the moment, so we are awaiting feedback from them. Seems like they are having congestion in the evenings.

Skipped router completely and connected to ONT+Dial-UP Connection

HI, I see our Support team followed up last night, We will follow up again this morning and let you know once further feedback is received.

Just had a call regarding this log : #COOL-20230927-1470347

Some interesting observations.
Apparently you aware of some issues between yourself and metrofiber and there will be some change regarding this tonight ?

Then asked about disconnects I have been experiencing - and had one around 8:30, I was then told that my line has been up for the part 12 hours - this cannot be - as I restarted the whole setup 2 times last night (and I mean power off the router and the ont for a min of 10 seconds), and due to me working from home I also restarted this morning (power everything off and then on again).

Well - how is your system reporting me online for 12 hours if my whole system was turned off completely 3 times during that 12 hours ?

Hmm I'm not sure your history clearly shows sessions dropping.

Regarding the change this evening I am not sure about. I will follow up.Screenshot_20230928_101141_Chrome.jpg

Hi, I have spoken with our support, as there could have been miscommunication
I have asked someone to call you back. The issue with MFN has been reported and we are awaiting feedback, as it appears to be congestion related.

Would you be able to do a speedtest/MTR Via Dial up now, and then again this evening for comparison?

Its the feedback from your support - from my side I know my connection is dropping - hence me querying it.
No idea why I was told my connection is up for 12 hours...

Will do a MTR, when I get a gap during the day, and will also do one tonight for you.
I suspect the trace will be clean during the day.

Any specific destination you want the trace to ?

P.S. it's not a daily occurrence - it was especially bad over the weekend, and then last night was a complete horror show.

Much appreciated thank you,
Local would be best ,(8.8.8.8 ) and via Dial up if possible.

@PBCool @CoolEscalator

Did the speedtest and winmtr as requested - looks clean to me.
Did the tests both as dailup - direct to ONT and also via my lan - so nothing on lan affecting the results from what I see.
