Cool Ideas hit by another DDoS attack

How are they still not able to pinpoint the culprit(s)? You'd think in this day and age with all our technology...
Im not an expert, but from what I understand attacks like these are typically from machines infected by malware, which makes tracking the origin of the attack impossible.

Hmmmmm now u HAVE to spill
Look, maybe my logic is warped, but who has the most to gain from this. It must be another local ISP, surely. CISP rose to prominence almost overnight. They were rated tops for a good stretch too.

While they are not alone in this targetted DDoS attack, they certainly seem to be the ISP which is being most hammered. My gut - indigestion and ulcers aside - tells me that it is may be another ISP. Wipe out CISP and gain their client base.

And, no! I ain't going to name anyone. I do not want to feel the hurt of the 'banhammer' :p

Similar to what happened to Crystal Web.

It is hardly ever a good idea to jump to a service provider hectically punted by members of this forum. Just look at the history.

Unfortunately the reason I jumped ship from CI after the second round of DDoS attacks. Just too similar to what happened with CrystalWeb, and as much as I'd would've liked to support them, each time their service got smacked - you still sit without proper functioning internet.

The big question is WHY? ...Cool Ideas seems to be a target
