Cool Ideas VPN Server(s)

@TheRoDent is there an easy way to setup this VPN in a split tunnel? Tried doing some Googling but most of the searches flew right over my head... Ideally would like only certain traffic to go over the VPN.
Yeah it's just tricky doing the policy routing effectively. What do you want to route via what?

@PBCool

Hello,

Any news about singapore? My exit lag subscription renews this weekend. And i am enjoying the new Apex season! Just want to find out if i have to keep my sub.

Regards!
Not a quick thing to do unfortunately, will update as we go.

Well the only advantage i get out of it is for Google Belgium so if i can run everything normal and then the Google traffic via the VPN would be ideal, that would be IP based splitting but even just running like Apex via just the VPN would be fine too

If you have the list of IPs, then you wouldn't use default route from the VPN. And static route the IPs via the VPN.

So depends on how you want to do this, but ideally via your router.

As with general VPN servers, this would have to be routing decision on the client side.

Splitting routing tables is not something we could generally do on the VPN server side.

Thanks Jason provided the IPs so will just use Warp in wireguard to split tunnel via them

Good day CISP Team
I am really looking forward to fibre being live in my complex within the next few weeks and to being connected to CoolIdeas. One of the biggest draw cards for me to the CISP route is due to this uk vpn that I have read about up here. My biggest concern is that I do not want to sign up, have a 12 month contract in place, only for this uk vpn service to be taken away or cancelled by you guys. I called through to the contact centre to enquire on the vpn and maybe for some usage info, but the agent and her manager are completely unaware of this service offering. They have taken my details down to get back to me, though I am not holding my breath. Do you, as the CISP Rep, foresee this service being around for a while? Is utilisation great? Any info that you can provide would be really helpful. Thank you in advance.

It's an unofficial, and unsupported VPN service, created by me personally. Our support desk wouldn't know about the service. It is also stated as experimental in the thread.

The only support for it will be me, in this forum.

The service seems to be well utilised and I don't see any reason we would shut it down.

It seems likely that we will make it official at some point and add additional VPN servers for Asia, etc.

CISP network gives basically the same pings as this VPN now, only advantage i personally get from CT is to Google servers, i go from 180 to 155 and its because Google only picks up traffic in JHB. Their network other than that is basically on par if not better.
