Cope can do this in a few months while the DA cannot do shyte in how many years?
I think the DA needs to relook at itself because if COPE stick around for the next one the DA will fade into nothingness. Guess DA only ever wanted the WC![]()
Why'd you vote COPE killadoob? Waste of a vote. Clearly the DA is the bigger party... to use your own logic from earlier.Cope can do this in a few months while the DA cannot do shyte in how many years?

De Lille, is already calling for all opposition parties to fight the ANC in the 2011 municipal elections under one banner which can only be good for South Africa imo.
Hopefully they can run a better campaign and with some voter education, the voters will learn, you can't punish the ANC for non-delivery if you vote for them AGAIN.

What about the NP vote that they absorbed? What was the percentage of the NP vote in 94?Nobody denies that the DA needs to do work elsewhere in RSA, starting next week, to reduce the ANC stronghold.
BUT, in 1994 the DA sat on 6% in the WC. Today just over 50%
Just hope they can stick around for 2014.
Most of it I think was absorbed pre 2004.
The DA after having absorbed the NP vote is yet to break the 20% mark obtained by the NP in 94.
In the WC, the 2009 figures look like those from '94 except that the DA is the new NP![]()
I thought most of the NP mp's jumped ship from the DP to the ANC, or was Kortbroek always part of the ANC ?![]()
Either way, the DA run the province and city, the first party to win outright and thank buddha for that.
