History has proven you wrong. Or were you happy with our armed forces waging war across africa back then? Our police services arresting, torturing and murdering people without trial? Racial segregation that allowed the minority of the population to prosper at the expense of the vast majority? That includes basic service provision like healthcare and infrastructure, which incase you werent aware, were not geared towards providing for the needs of ALL south africans back then

Well certainly not from a ruling point of view but from a corruption point of view that seems to be the case with some here. This doesn't give the current government any excuse to do the same but we still have a lot more freedom and the opposition party aren't locked up and trialled as enemies of the state if they point any of the fraudulent activity out.

Can you please give me some examples for point one...? I'm genuine curious. As for the second point isn't that what the new protection of information bill proposed where "sensitive" information was leaked by the press....? So Nkandla being leaked would result in lengthy jail time as it was supposed to be top secret info...?

2. It's a huge threat, hence the reason I said still. Hopefully the public's outcry will go further than the usual armchair activists saying "yes, I told you so!"

All of his other points really only served a small percentage of the population. The ANC is responsible for not bringing the services in previously disadvantaged areas up fast enough, resulting in it dragging down previously 'exclusive' areas down a bit but at least everybody has access.

No. You posted it as a bad news story of corruption (your subsequent comments on the thread support this) and I pointed out to you the positive aspect of it. Hence I called you a "glass half-empty" guy.
