Cops arrested for corruption in Free State

On the contrary, most of the South Africans I talk to say that this country is beyond the point of fixing things (or at least as long as the ANC is in control). And those are mostly Black South Africans saying that.
Given that you hold such a pessimistic view of the country, don't you think it's problematic that you have been given power to decide on the kind of stories that get published here?

And you really think the ANC will not push it through? Who appoints the con court judges? Oh wait you already knew that

Oh yeah, our ENTIRE judicial system is comprised of ANC puppets.:wtf:
Do you know how daft you sound? By your logic the court action against E Tolling would have never seen the light of day, yet somehow it did.

You mean realistic. He does not live with his head up his own rear end.
And by the way as far as I know Gary does not write the news and he posts what he sees.

Yeah things will be "improving" from here on in like it or not. Where do we feature on the global scale with regards to perceived corruption? Wasn't there a website (corruption watch or something?)...
That's exactly what R13 posted and also what my comparison was based on.

Acoording to that SA gets 43% - that is a pass mark - just ask Angie

LoL. Well people tend to forget we are a third world country. We were never "first world" by any measure. So lets judge ourselves by the context we find ourselves in. Is it bad? Yes. Could we improve? Definitely!

Just a pity that the anc will be remembered as the african national corruption & not for what it stood for in the past.

The anc of today is a feeding frenzy for all corrupt ministers and government officials, and no person with the moral fibre to say - enough is enough - why are we letting our poor people starve in their shacks?

South Africa will belong to the chinese and indians soon, but maybe one day it will once again belong to the people of South Africans again.

We were far better before the ANC in terms of getting services, police, crime, gvt hospitals, military, navy air force, corruption etc etc etc
Not talking about race issues before you go all thermo nuclear on me

Always posting negative stories doesn't equal being realistic. :)
I know he doesn't write but I'm talking about his extreme bias towards the bad news articles, and the fact that they are consistent with his "cup is half-empty" view of the country.

Well I disagree, discussing the issues and bringing them to the VOTING public's attention is extremely important and has to be done.
The ANC cup is always half empty no matter how much you want to sugar coat it
